A Time to Celebrate
As we celebrate with our families, let us also celebrate with each empowered artisan. An artisan who is now free to dream, hope, and achieve the life they believed impossible. Side by side, we continue this journey together and share this season of hope with each artisan that will be cherished forever. We wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Trades of Hope is so excited to be sending Founder Chelsie on a Trades of Hope National Tour in 2015! She will be touring 31 different cities and speaking to local Compassionate Entrepreneurs and those who may be interested in hearing more about the Trades of Hope vision! As she gets prepared to leave, she will be renovating her 5th wheel - something we are fondly referring to as the Hope-Mobile around the office! As she prepares and plans and gets excited to meet each and every one of you, she and her husband are also renovating the Hope-Mobile and will be sharing snippets here with you so you can join in on the adventure. Below Chelsie shares some of her thoughts as she prepares to hit the road and re-decorate the Hope-Mobile to be travel ready!
As Ryan (my husband) and I began planning for the Trades of Hope National Tour in 2015, we couldn't have been more excited to travel for 9 months (it's always been a dream of ours - and to do it for such a life changing cause is even more exciting!), but we weren't sure how we were going to travel and also work and live normally on the road. Would we fly each place, stay in a RV, a trailer....how does this kind of life logistically work?
We thought about buying an airstream for a while (I begged and begged for that vintagey awesomeness) but after a few airstream visits and a few bumps on Ryan's head (6'2 has its downsides), we decided that a 5th wheel would be the smarter of the two!
We finally found an older and awesome 5th wheel that we loved....and it is also one we could personally re-do and decorate to our style (with Trades of Hope flair, of course!). We wanted to make this temporary place a home for us both and see if we could decorate on our budget, using thrifted finds and some TOH product! We will be posting updates along the way as we tear out floors, re-paint walls, and make this 5th wheel into our home....and we are making sure to include Trades of Hope product in our designs. Who would have ever thought! We will be moving into our tiny home this December and are scheduled to blast off from Florida in February 2015 to come MEET YOU! Eeek.....I couldn't be more excited and thankful to have the most life changing job in the whole world.
As the trip gets closer, we will be blogging about the adventures along the way, posting photos of each new place and the new CE's we meet (could be you!), along with writing about all of the fun things that happen. As you can imagine, it is going to be an amazing trip and I am so thrilled to meet you and your team on your home turf. I know that Trades of Hope is reaching a level of growth we have never seen before..... and this year we will shake the tipping point over the edge! There is nothing more satisfying than knowing we are empowering our sisters in developing countries while working hard and having fun too! Sharing this journey with you is a dream come true. Keep following for more updates as our renovations get started! :)
Here are some "before" photos below. In a few weeks, the Hope-Mobile will be complete with more "Trades of Hope-y" colors and products! Stay tuned for pics.
