This year, Justine stopped digging a hole in her back yard and stuffing money in it. Instead, she opened a bank account. After beginning her work as an artisan, she feels "settled" inside and stopped worrying incessantly - for the first time in her life.
Juliet lives off the Kampala to Gulu highway outside of Kakooge. She lives in a home with two other women, and is working on saving enough money so that she can rent a home by herself. She works from her home as a designer for Nakate, and loves that she can both take care of her children, and work at the same time.
We plan to continue working with these amazing women, buying more piglets, and look forward to seeing what their futures hold! Trades of Hope considers it a privilege and a blessing to be able to give back through the sales of our products and home parties.
Thank you for changing the world with us!
