The new year is here, and it arrives with promises of new adventures, refreshing clean slates, and expansive room for yet-to-come surprises. At Trades of Hope, this also means renewed hope for our artisan partners around the world as we release our highly anticipated 2018 Spring Line!
This line is beautiful and overflowing with Spring 2018 fashion trends like a focus on silver, pieces that are reversible, and stunning pastel colors. However, unlike most fashion lines, these products are cultivating dignified partnerships to empower women out of poverty.
Spring 2018 rolls out 25 new products made by women in 8 countries: Pakistan, Cambodia, Thailand, Haiti, India, Nepal, Uganda, and a region in North Asia.
Every piece in this line helps women out of slums, sweatshops, the sex trade and extreme poverty by providing opportunities for safe, dignified sustainable incomes. This consistent earning of money creates a hopeful cycle that breaks the cycle of poverty for women, their children, and generations to come. Women around the world are now keeping their babies, protecting their bodies, and using their voices to be leaders in their communities!
We are better together!
At Trades of Hope, we know that this life was meant to be shared: with family, friends, co-workers, business partners, people we can identify with, and people who open our eyes to the beauty of our differences.
In our offices, every home team member has our values printed near their desks as we work to empower women every day. One of those values is “collaboration.” Not only do we collaborate as a team, but we collaborate with our artisan partners on things like product design, communication avenues, and how to find solutions to problems they face in their countries.
As we step into a new year with new hope (and beautiful new accessories!), I encourage you to reconnect with a friend with whom you haven’t spoken in a while, make a friend with someone who is different that you in some way, and be present to the people around you.
This is how we truly see the world, by seeing, really seeing, the people who live in it.
You can join with our artisans in being better together right now, by shopping their pieces in our Spring 2018 line!
